Here Comes Athena

This week, the northeast United States is expecting a strong Nor'easter to come through right where hurricane Sandy came through.  The weather channel honored it with the name, "Athena."

Now you might not know that Nor'easters got names.  That is because they don't, officially.  The Weather Channel seems to be trying to change that, saying that named storms help people to better communicate.

The National Weather Service, however, refuses to acknowledge the name (boo!).  As for me, I like it.  I'm hoping for a string of mythologically named storms in the years to come.
